Acceptance of terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Palmaa website and services ("Services"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.
About Palmaa
Palmaa is a hotel deals subscription service for Canadian travellers. We curate discounted all-inclusive resort deals across the Caribbean, Mexico, and South America and send our members deal alerts by email. Palmaa is not a booking platform — when you click a deal, you are redirected to a partner site to complete your booking.
Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account.
- One account per person. Accounts may not be transferred or shared.
Subscription and billing
- Palmaa is a paid subscription service. Current pricing is shown on the pricing page.
- Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment processor.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
- If a renewal payment fails, our payment processor may retry the charge for up to 14 days. Continued failure may result in suspension or cancellation of your access.
- We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice before renewal.
Free trial
- Duration: new members may be offered a 7 day free trial, counted as 168 consecutive hours from the moment the trial begins.
- Automatic conversion: at the end of the 168 hour trial period, the subscription automatically converts to a paid membership and the first renewal charge is processed, unless the member has cancelled before that time.
- Immediate cancellation during trial: if you cancel at any point during the free trial, your access to the Services is revoked immediately and no charge is made.
- One trial per lifetime: each customer is eligible for only one free trial. Members who previously used a trial will be charged immediately upon signing up again.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, or through the billing portal provided by our payment processor. Cancellation rules depend on your plan state:
- During the 7 day free trial: cancellation is immediate. Your access to the Services is revoked on the spot and no charge is made.
- On a paid subscription: cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain access until that date and will not be billed again.
- No prorated refunds are issued for partial periods.
Refunds
All payments are non-refundable once processed, except for verified technical billing errors. By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.
Third-party bookings
Prices, availability, and deal terms are set by the third-party travel partner or hotel. Your booking creates a contract between you and that partner — Palmaa is not a party to it. We are not responsible for the quality, safety, or fulfillment of any third-party offer. Cancellations, refunds, and complaints about your booking must be addressed to the travel partner directly.
Prohibited activities
You may not:
- Share your account credentials or forward deal emails to non-members.
- Scrape, copy, or republish our deal listings on other sites or services.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers on our Services.
- Attempt to probe, attack, or circumvent our security measures.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of our Services.
- Create multiple accounts to abuse trial offers or promotions.
- Use our Services to distribute spam, malware, or misleading content.
Intellectual property
The Palmaa brand, website, deal content, and software are owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. We grant you a limited, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use our Services for your personal, non-commercial purposes while your subscription is active.
Disclaimers
Our Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that deals will remain available at the advertised price by the time you click through, that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that you'll achieve specific savings.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Palmaa will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost savings or costs related to third-party bookings. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you breach these Terms, abuse our Services, or engage in fraudulent activity. You can terminate your agreement with us at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Palmaa is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms overrides any statutory consumer-protection rights you have in your home jurisdiction.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify members by email. Continued use of our Services after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
